About this course

Overview and Outcomes.

Overview

This capstone introduces no new theory. It shows the programme's frameworks operating together in three real cases of very different scale: Merthyr Tennis Club in a Welsh valley town, Compassionate Frome's whole-town approach to health and loneliness, and Poplar HARCA's resident-governed housing regeneration in east London. It helps you name which framework explains each result and apply the same discipline in your own context.

What you'll develop

In this Bitesize, you will develop the ability to:

  1. Identify which frameworks, such as asset-based development, the partnership continuum, co-production and Arnstein's ladder, explain the outcomes in each of the three cases.
  2. Describe the partnership failures the cases avoided, including missing key stakeholders and mistaking a referral pathway for a partnership.
  3. Apply four moves from the cases to your own context: mapping assets, naming your stage on the continuum, stating the influence on offer and planning how you will measure results.
